The melodica is a child of mid-twentieth century experimentation but has found a home across musical genres — Jamaican dub, minimalist composition, jazz, and folk — wherever portability and harmonic richness meet. Its 32 keys span nearly three octaves, driven by breath through a blowpipe or mouthpiece, producing a tone somewhere between organ, accordion, and harmonica. Lightweight and intuitive, it is as well-suited to serious musical exploration as to spontaneous creative play. Includes carrying case.
